THE STORY
Starblind formed in January 2006, after Chris met Pow and former drummer Hesi at a sound check for a charity gig at Park View in Chester-le-Street late the year before. The band quickly picked up steam with a set of covers and originals ready for the first gig, and continued over the year to play gigs, write and try to record a demo CD (which ended up just being a mission to Lincoln and a gig… and half a recording).
In January 2007, the band split up, and Chris and Hesi went on to another band – which soon also split up, which led to the reformation of Starblind in January 2008. With a new drive and passion for the band, a comeback gig was played at the Dun Cow, and since then our heads have been down writing and practicing for upcoming gigs and the EP recording.
More recently line-up changing happened, with us parting ways with Hesi. Not because of a fall out, we still class him as a close friend. And with the new drummer, Jack, we are going to be making our impact soon!
With a drive, passion and dedication to the band and the music we create, we’re in this for the long term.
