"Space Captain was conceived of a cosmic supernova, an explosion so blinding, so great as to jeopardize existence as we know it. In a blur of infinite colors, emotions, and particles of sound, what was left behind was a new wave of music, a sound merging elements of psychedelia from the sixties rock phase of The Doors and Pink Floyd to more modern indie/alt rock acts such as Beck and The Pixies. This sound would challenge the tenets of popular music and culture, ever-so delicately warping them in the process."
