Blues artist turned rock and roller, Shannon Curfman has finally released the follow-up record to her critically acclaimed debut album, "Loud Guitars, Big Suspicions". Originally signed to Arista Records at the age of 14, "Loud Guitars" rose to the number 3 spot on the Billboard Blues Chart. She has shared the stage with legends B.B. King, Buddy Guy and Santana and has recorded with John Mayall, Billy Preston, Meshell N'degeocello and Keb' Mo. Her songs have appeared on the soundtracks of "Where the Heart Is" and "The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants", as well as HBO's "The Sopranos", "G String Divas" and the WB's "Gilmore Girls". At 14, Shannon was praised for her blues-driven songwriting, gritty, soulful voice and her scorching guitar. Now 21, Shannon's back on the road honing a new set of songs featured on her new release, "Take It Like A Man". With age and experience, the music has evolved and the genre has moved slightly away from funky-blues towards rock & roll.
On the 18th in Davenport you HAVE to play til midnight, cause then the bell tolls and it becomes International Talk Like A Pirate Day. Thats how much fun you'll have ya wench!
I am so anxious to see you guys play again! I was in Minneapolis for the Rally For The Republic, and would have loved it if there would have been a scheduled event to see you, but we were literally in and out by bus, just for Tuesday. At least I was there, thinking about you, there. Yeah, the Target Center could hold you! LOL. St. Louis? Please?
I can't wait to hear you sing before the game..... after your done, forgive me, but I'll be changing the channel to something else worth watching. Are you sure they won't let you do a concert instead of the game? If that happens, I'll stay tuned!!
Hope all is well with you and yours. Hoping to see you nearby soon. Sure would like to see you and Joe Bonamassa play at Penns Peak this coming year. Yes I would. Love ya lady!!
Do you know what time you're playing in Brighton on Saturday? It says 8:30 on the schedule, but I was just curious if it was going to be a little later. I have to work that day. :(
