Retribution Gospel Choir plays loud and sings in key. Live, two minute pop songs run into psychedelic improvisations and drum-n-bass-heavy dub. People sometimes think the band is too loud or that they should take turns soloing, but generally, people are pleasantly surprised. Members, Alan Sparhawk and Steve Garrington are also in the band Low. The band has released two tour EPs, but they're sold out. New full-length is out now on Caldo Verde Records and the band touring the stinkin' world.
Thanks for approving our request. We saw you in Albuquerque and loved it. We had no idea who the opener was going to be, but were very happy when it was you all. We are Low fans, and had never heard RGC stuff, and it was really rad-like hearing a tripped out, heavy Low. I bought a t-shirt and cd, hope the money came in handy (I know every little bit helps when you're on the road). Thanks again. -the giranimals
Yess thanks for the add you guys were a great open for Wilco one of the Best concerts to come to Grand Junction thanks so much and also thanks alot for the auto on the drum stick its the envy of alot of people thanks
The album is great! My favs are Take Your Time, What She Turned Into, Breaker & Easy Prey. RGC DUB is a little to dub for me (but still pretty good). =)
It would be great to get you on City Scene 2008, the Independent Music Festival that we are putting together as a benefit for 89.3 The Current. The lineup is spectacular so far..let me know if you want in or if you would like to see the lineup thus far.. -Tim
Your show here last Halloween was phenomenal. I'm afraid this year's festivities will pale in comparison. So sad. I hope you guys make it back to Salt Lake again. Oh well, until then I can only gaze longingly at the pixelated wonder of you guys dressed as ghosts playing some crazy dub on my cell phone.
