Red Red Rockit delivers honest, visceral rock & roll, harking back to the sounds of bluesy power trios and the late 60's.
Red Red Rockit is a saucy new power trio from Boston! The one and only Jonn Smith takes charge of the lead vocals, guiding the listener through a magical rock & roll journey, powered by his soul and unique quirkiness. Jared Egan's guitar riffery, bluesy lead playing and showmanship invoke the lively oomph of a 60's guitar hero, while AJ Locke's drumming switches between ill grooves, and controlled chaos. Shazam!
RRR has just completed their debut EP, recorded at their home studio in Hyde Park (Boston). The RRR boys have been playing together in various bands for almost 5 years, and Red Red Rockit was formed to finally embrace their love of classic ROCK. You may also see AJ Locke dodging glitter while playing in the local band Sidewalk Driver.
Currently, Red Red Rockit are working on preparing for a full-length album, and looking to deliver their rock & roll to audiences throughout the world. You dig?
Also, their drummer is famous

Right back at you. We were extremely skeptical of someone covering the mighty Hendrix, but when that blur of chordal solos and unison bends came drifting across the room, we knew we were in for it. Great job.
Thank you RRR for letting me be part of that wonderful evening last night at the Midway Cafe - God Bless and the best of luck always! Sincerely, Preacher Jack.
I started using my blogging tool to highlight some of the more interesting profiles and some of the better music that I’ve ran across on Myspace and I've really been suprised with the response it's gotten.
Thought I better let you know so that you can’t say that you weren’t warned.
