Formada en el mes de noviembre de 2004, sus sólidas filas cuentan con la presencia de ex integrantes de importantes bandas del under montevideano como Metro, Gnomos y Space Invaders.
La banda se apoya en pilares de bases potentes para construir buenas canciones que mezclan ritmos agresivos con armoniosas melodías. Sus integrantes son artistas de criterios muy amplios por lo que están influenciados por muchísimos músicos contemporáneos y clásicos.
Protones es una banda auténtica y comprometida que toma muy en serio lo que hace, que deja todo en el escenario, que sabe que lo que hace es arte y lo hace para divertirse y divertir.
The band was formed during the month of November 2004. Its solid rows of musicians are joined by ex-members of important bands of the montevidean underground like Metro, Gnomos and Space Invaders. The band leans towards powerful bases so as to build good songs that mix aggressive grooves with harmonious melodies. Its members are very open minded artists, as a consequence they are influenced by many contemporary and classic musicians. Protones is an authentic and committed band that takes very seriously what it does. It leaves everything on stage, knows that what it does is art, and what is more, it performs full of fun and gives a performance that people enjoy and are entertained.
