What if the president declared martial law?
What if the Constitution was suspended?
What if the secret police came knocking on your door?
Description:
Book one in a series of three volumes, chronicles the plight of six unlikely American heroes as they struggle for their very survival against the evil fascists that have taken over the White House and the country.
It is the year 2010. America is now ruled by the iron fist of the president turned dictator, John M. Forrest, known only by his middle initial. The Constitution has been suspended. Congress is now little more than a rubber-stamp for the Executive Branch, and martial law has been imposed from coast to coast. Fundamentalist Christianity and corporatism rule supreme: faith before reason.
An unlikely group of heroes band together--Eileen Hunter, a lesbian and former soldier; Terry Khan, a Muslim boy; Archie Kane, a middle-aged, liberal school teacher; Jack "JD" Daniels, a computer hacker extraordinaire; his mother, Shirley "Daisy" Daniels, a colorful old hippie; and her friend, Sam Brown, a Native-American and Vietnam vet--to struggle for their very survival against the evil forces of sadistic Commander Hermann Gotthard; his side-kick, Captain Paul Johnson, of the NYC SSB (Special Services Branch) and Colonel James Davenport, Commandant of Camp Southern Fortress, a brutal concentration forced-labor camp in southern Texas. Their only crime is their mere existence. Their only hope is to make it north across the forty-ninth parallel into Canada, which is still a democracy. Read an Excerpt . . .

A tale of lost gold, a deadly curse and the quest to solve a hundred year old mystery.
Description:
Somewhere in the steep, rugged mountains surrounding Pitt Lake, British Columbia, is a fabulous hidden treasure: a lost gold mine. Slumach was executed for murder in 1891, but as the noose was placed around his neck, he cursed his secret glory hole and anyone who ever tried to find it. Over the next century, at least forty people have died and many others were injured in the hunt for this long lost legend. And still, year after year, the search goes on.
UBC Professor, Dr. Paul Gregory and his pretty graduate assistant Bev Dayton with their colorful native guide Simon George, collide head-on with con-men Kevin Macarthur and Randy Smith, as both parties try to solve a mystery that has baffled seasoned prospectors and tenderfoots alike for over a century.
"Nika memloose . . . Mine memloose" (When I die, the mine dies.)
A nuke could ruin your day!
Or a nuclear meltdown at your local power plant!
Or exposure to unsafe nuclear waste . . .
Say, "No" to Nukes!
It's easy to do nothing!
It's easy to pretend
that millions aren't starving or dying of AIDS
while we turn away...
Please stop pretending!!!

My pop tunes have been accused at various times of sounding like the Beatles and Queen. Classically I am a big Beethoven fan.

BIO
Leon Portelance (52) is a songwriter, composer, arranger and producer. He has a well equipped home studio in Sonora, California. Leon plays keyboards, guitar and bass. Lately he has be working on tv and film cues using sampled orchestral libraies like East West Quantum Leap Symphony Orchestra and Vienna Symphony Library.
Leon grew up in Lake Cowichan on Vancouver Island, Canada. He parents started him on accordian when he was about 6, but he thought it was dorky. Then he played sax in elementary school band. When he was 9 he saw the first Beatles appearance on the Ed Sullivan show. He wanted a guitar!
At 13, Leon's best friend Sean Vance asked him if he could learn bass because they were putting together a band and needed a bass player. Leon asked what a bass was. "It has only 4 strings," Sean told him. This started a musical partnership that spanned many bands and personnel changes.
Leon's songwriting over the past 35 years has explored a variety of genres from pop & rock to jazz and classical. Leon has a BA in music composition and theory from the University of Victoria and has worked as an engineer and producer at several recording studios. His first recording gig was as an assistant engineer at Mushroom Studios in Vancouver, Canada and he was later a part owner of Bullfrog Studios, also in Vancouver.
Leon's ultimate dream would be to win an Academy Award for Best Sountrack or Best Song, but a number 1 hit on Billboard wouldn't hurt either!
This is a scary short film. I thought the Moonie's were just a memory, from the 70s. Turns out this lunatic owns the Washington Times and the Bush's and a lot of other powerful people in Washington are closet Moonie's. Got to be mass psychosis; how else could anybody with half a brain believe anything the comes out of the Rev. Moon's mouth? More like the King of Bullshit!Leave Us a Comment:
