Diaperman	Nov 9 2007 12:30 PM The Next POETRY IN THE PARK ..h Peace, Camden County Cultural & Heritage Commission is excited to announce the next edition of the Poetry in the Park series - Monday, December 10, 2007 from 6:00pm to 9:00pm in the Historic Hopkins House located at 250 South Park Drive in Cooper River Park, Haddon Township. Poetry in the Park was created to showcase the creative writing talent of the South Jersey community through the use of poetry and spoken word. Each month, Poetry in the Park features new, emerging, and experienced poets of all ages. Our special guest feature for Monday, December 10th is Zaharati Morfesis. Zaharati is a poet, painter, and sculptor. Her writing has appeared in various newspapers such as Courier Post, Philadelphia Inquirer, The National Herald, and The Hellenic Chronicle. She has a one-woman show titled, "Persephone and Hades" that was featured at the Philadelphia Fringe Festival and Rutgers-Camden Center for the Arts. Zaharati is a Rotary Scholar to Greece, an Andrew W. Mellon fellow, and a member of the Community Editorial Board of the Courier Post newspaper. The Camden County Cultural & Heritage Commission is pleased to welcome her for the December 10th event. Poetry in the Park is made possible in part by funds from the New Jersey State Council on the Arts and the Camden County Board of Chosen Freeholders. Poets and spoken word artists of all ages are encouraged to participate. Previous features in the series include regional winners of the New Jersey Statewide "Poetry Out Loud Competition" and Camden County Arts 4 Teens poets. After featured artists is the "Awesome Open Mic" segment. Poetry in the Park is pleased to announce our January 14, 2008 special guest feature - Chris Cream.
