"Singer N(Z) animaux has a sneer that sounds like shit tastes and he spits it across this fuzzing Sonic Youth barrage while his guitar gentle pukes. Somehow it ends up pretty euphoric. Weird
- NME Radar The Girl Up and Down
"They are called Pets With Pets
And darn they've got one fucking cool song.
I can't tell if its just latent racism on my part, but 'The Girl Up and Down' totally reminds me of Die! Die! Die! (who are from nearby [if several thousand miles counts as nearby] New Zealand).
Anyway, check them out here and witness that song.
They just bumped Afrikan Boy from my myspazz track."
- Alex Miller - New Music Editor of NME
"maybe the best thing to happen in collingwood since smack"
- Acid Jacks
"Combining angular post-punk guitar work with dance-music's insistence on the groove, Melbourne's PWP would have maybe been called "dance-punk" back in 2003, but they're more raw, lo-fi and alive than much of that genre's current formulaic output, and sound more like Tom Vek than The Bravery. Under repeated shrieks of "it's all the same," the guitars build to a swirly frenzy, until dropping out for a single, buzzing bass note." - The Riff - New York City BRO!
"This is more like it… ace vacant beats! Cool sounds from the dance masters with nothing but style and attitude tearing up Melbourne's dance floors. You must get the Songs to Keep Her Dreams Unclean Demo. Certainly the new sound you need to hear NOW!" - NothingVampz.com
Mazel Tov! Pets With Pets have made their VCC musical debut (sorry for popping your cherry, the blood flow will slow down): http://www. vivecoolcity. com/index. php?ID=142 Thanks so much, Ryder // VCC
I'm technically living in east st kilda but its like a 5 min walk away from windsor station. so i get a bit confused on where i live...BUT ITS RAD!
how's your house? you're eating fruit lately hey? i wouldn't mind some niiceee juicy grapes right now. I'll be drinking wine tonight so i guess thats almost the same....right? RIGHT??
You kids are actually quite good! Some of your tunes are instant classics. You just need to spend some time cleaning it all up a bit, slowing it all down. I'd be happy to help you guys lay down some tracks and I've even written some lead guitar pieces for "Girl Up Or Down" and "We found these places". I would also suggest that you invest in a superior synthesizer or even consider removing the keyboard elements altogether.
I'll be totally honest with you kids, you have some classic licks here and it would be a wasted opportunity to leave it. Get your manager to give me a call and I'll see if I can organize some
