Peter Cooper is the same guy who writes about music for the Nashville Tennessean and who appears as a talking head on CNN, CMT, MSNBC, the BBC, the Biography Channel and other outlets.
He’s also a touring singer-songwriter and instrumentalist who has played on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, The Late Show with David Letterman and Prairie Home Companion. His songs have been praised by the New York Times, the Washington Post, Mojo, No Depression, USA Today, the Los Angeles Times and the Wall Street Journal. Cooper has opened numerous tour dates for Todd Snider (and collaborated with Snider, singing harmonies, playing bass and co-writing a song on Snider’s brilliant "The Devil You Know" album) and worked in the studio with Emmylou Harris, Nanci Griffith, Lloyd Green, Ricky Skaggs and other luminaries. He recently produced Snider’s odds ’n’ sods album, Peace, Love and Anarchy. His own debut album is called Mission Door. More information available at www.petercoopermusic.com.

Enjoyed the show last night at Iota. Wish they had a place for the "old people" to sit . . . Special thanks to you, Eric and Martin for the fine rendition of "Sin City." See you in Ashland in Sept.
Hi Peter, I'm real fond of "cautionary tales". And the covers on the wall are showing that we got the same roots. I just wrote a song about Kris Kristofferson, it's called "Part of my life". I'm thinking about publishing it on my next album. What do you think about it. Please give me a feedback, you find it on myspace. Thanks and all the best for you ... I won't miss any of your songs ... Shiregreen from Germany
Hey Peter, I enjoyed the article in Mix Magazine's Nashville issue. I hope all is good with you and would still like to get that book to you. I don't know if our schedules will let it happen, so if there is an address I can send it to or a place I can drop it off let me know. Thanks, Jim.
Hi Peter, Thanks for your kind words about the new David Olney "Live at Norm's River Road House" CD last evening. It definitely captures the boys' live show. And thanks for hipping me to your WPLN on-air. Great on-air! All the best, Mary
