(Treehugger) — GM now announced that it wants to double its production of small (1.0 liter to 1.4 liter) four-cylinder engines by 2011.
(AP) — That means the world is spewing more carbon dioxide than the worst case scenario forecast by a Nobel Prize-winning group of international scientists in 2007. Scientists said if the trend does not stop, it puts the world potentially on track for the highest predicted rises in temperature and sea level.

I have to say that my favorite tip has to be the air-popped popcorn as shipping material instead of the packing peanuts! I have volunteered at the Toledo Zoo for over 2 years and they use popcorn in a lot of the herbivores and omnivores meals. (It's really cool watching a gorilla or the elephants eating popcorn :-D. ) But everyday people can just feed the birds afterwards! I LOVE it!! |
