Hailing from Nutley, New Jersey, Of The Ages combine melodic punk, metal, and experimental tendencies to create a truly progressive sound that only the Garden state could inspire. A living body, the skeleton of the band exists in the thunderous rhythms produced by explosive drummer Corrado Rizzi. Vocalist/bassist Tim Covey's classically rooted and yet undeniably natural styling paired with backings from John Cusumano are reminiscent of the likes of Taking Back Sunday and Just Surrender, but form a uniquely accessible emotional texture. Perhaps most definitive of the group, though, is the searing three-guitar onslaught created by the accomplished Mark Kilianski, Rich Campanella, and Cusumano. In the guitar work, speed, harmony, and complex technique come together in a constant whirlwind doused in perfectly balanced chemistry. Add to all the aforementioned qualities a viciously energetic live performance, and you've got a powerhouse of ripe young talent. Of the Ages is ready to share their music within the scene, and hopes that you'll come to define them for what they are, not what they might be likened to. In summation, these are a few best friends who came together to do their best to create something true, beautiful, and heavy.
