Motown Writers Network was created in 2000 to educate, network, and market writers on and off the Internet. With over 600 + members, MWN has grown on and off the Internet as one of the Largest Michigan organizations.
Currently, MWN has several projects in the works. Not only does the group have an online discussion group called Detroit Writers Galore, but in November of 2006, MWN with the support of other local writing groups, will have its third Essence of Motown Literary Conference http://geocities.com/essenceofmotown.
Please click on the links below or go to the links section to find out more about us.
As we are expanding on and off the Internet to make ourselves known to Michigan writers who were born here and live here, we have joined with Yahoo and MySpace to create a site and start a discussion. Our other newsletter list is located on Topica, and if you wish to see the archieves go to: http://lists.topica.com and do a search for Motown Writers Network. To receive the official newsletter, please make sure you join the Yahoo or Topica group.
We invite all members to submit items to the newsletter. This includes literary essays of your fustration as a writer, articles, schedule of events, and new book releases. Thank you.
