Thomas Gardner, Rupert Brown, Antony Truckell & Jack Clutterbuck .........................
If would like us to do a gig, please contact our manager raff at iamraff@hotmail.com
The four members of the Motion Pictures came together to form a band in a very ill documented way, and the true storey is still unclear, but village talk has it that it was a standard affair. T.W Gardner, a musical scholar, and A.J Truckell, a friendly organic farmer, had been school friends since an early age and often collaborated with a couple of spanish guitars to create musical harmony. They began a small recording project with a very talented R. Brown, former London session drummer for acts he'd rather not go into, but for a laugh, we'll give you one name, Sting. These recordings became the backbone of the first, self-titled, album by Motion Pictures. J. Clutterbuck, a folk-singer-hum-dinger, who had become friends with Gardner and Truckell in even less clear circumstances than that of the band, was asked by Gardner to contribute to the recordings, thus, and album and band were created.
The preservation of sound waves that you hear on this page was recorded by Paul Butler.
Have a look at these visuals for 'My Queen Your Dream'.

A man walks down the street He says why am I soft in the middle now Why am I soft in the middle The rest of my life is so hard I need a photo opportunity I want a shot at redemption Don’t want to end up a cartoon In a cartoon graveyard Bone-digger, bone-digger Dogs in the moonlight Far away my well-lit door Mr. Beerbelly, beerbelly Get these mutts away from me You know I don’t find this stuff Amusing anymore
If you’ll be my bodyguard I can be your long lost pal I can call you Betty And Betty when you call me You can call me Al
A man walks down the street He says why am I short of attention Got a short little span of attention And woe my nights are so long Where’s my wife and family What if I die here Who’ll be my role model Now that my role model is Gone gone He ducked back down the alley With some roly-poly little bat-faced girl All along along There were incidents and accidents There were hints and allegations
If you’ll be my bodyguard I can be your long lost pal I can call you Betty And Betty when you call me You can call me Al Call me Al
A man walks down the street It’s a street in a strange world Maybe it’s the third world Maybe it’s his first time around He doesn’t speak the language He holds no currency He is a foreign man He is surrounded by the sound The sound Cattle in the marketplace Scatterlings and orphanages He looks around around He sees angels in the architecture Spinning in infinity He says Amen and Hallelujah
If you’ll be my bodyguard I can be your long lost pal I can call you Betty And Betty when you call me You can call me Al Call me
Na na na na …
If you’ll be my bodyguard I can be your long lost pal I can call you Betty And Betty when you call me You can call me Al

Wight Light Orchestra have had to pull out of this gig, but this more than makes up for that... Paul Armfield will be opening the night, which is absolutely brilliant. One of my favourite songwirters, kindly stepping in to make this a very promising night of great music.
Unfortunately I don't have the photoshop files to edit the poster yet, but never mind :)
