Little Grizzly were a loud folk rock band from Denton, Texas. We certainly weren't the best band in the world, but I swear nobody loved playing rock and roll more than we did. Anyway, the band broke up May 2004 and this is all that's left.
Here is what some of our band members have been up to since we broke up:
George Neal is now playing solo.
Howard is playing with the amazing Shearwater.
Matt and Howard have joined forces to form Tre Orsi.
Colin is the lord and master of HOGPIG
Jake is now the chief supplier of bass derived magic for Raised by Tigers
We are still plagued by the BLACKSMITHS.
This has been a great first year for us here at Sunfire Studios. We just posted 5 new songs for your enjoyment. If you like any of the songs, then hit up the bands that made them. They're all working musicians, so undoubtedly they're all looking for people to play shows with. Thanks to everyone who helped us out this year. Merry Christmas,
great name for a band Little Grizzly...by the way I noticed you liked Will Oldham and thought I'd point you in the direction of some guys he knows from the UK, an alt.country/acoustic folk kinda group called "quarter-pounder". They're brothers from the Isle of Man who are a little mentally unstable but with an ear for a good tune so I reckon you might like them. Maybe you know of them already? One of their fans has set up a web site where you can download a bunch of their songs for free at www.quarter-pounder.co.uk Check it out....
Hey, I actually AM a little grizzly. What an awesome band name. Bear hugs and warm fuzzies to you grand people you... you really do know how to give baby bears the respect they deserve!
I don't know how often any of you guys check this but I miss Little Grizzly! You were the most fun and awesome band to see live. I tried to see you every time you played.
