“…La Balteuband provides a very interesting set of fresh new material in a unique musical treat delivered by a first-rate ensemble." Edward Blanco, EJazznews.com
“Sin Pestanias” — a great piece, and especially for modern jazz-tango-lovers, worth the whole CD."
Joyce Corbett, The Live Music Report. Com
" La Balteuband creates thought-provoking and utterly
unpredictable music that is consistently intriguing." Scott Yanow, Los Angeles Jazz Scene
“Each song is a musical vignette that when strung together creates a whole composition of moving pictures demonstrating independent movements that fluctuate between being uncoordinated and acting in accordance with each other." Susan Frances, Jazz Review.com
“…a very enjoyable record.” Robert Iannapollo, Cadence Magazine
La Balteuband was born about 2 or 3 years ago , and has been mutating until became what it is now. The music of la Balteuband is articulated arround my compositions (ET) that, as It says in the website, are a blend of jazz and elements of Argentine music, such as rhythms like chacarera and zamba along with the lyricism of tango melodies. Coktail-like!!.
La Balteuband has performed (and tries to perform regularily) in New York venues such as the Cornelia Street Cafe, Makor, Louis 649, Nublu, Bowery Poetry Club, Galapagos Arts Space, and many others.
La Balteuband Is extremely happy to be the father its first album in December 2006 released by the dark-experimental-industrial- jazz record label Not Yet Records.
