The new album, Unclever, is available now from the wonderful label hhbtm at hhbtm.com (that's best if you're in the USA) and from this very webpage - look left - for £5. It was recorded in Athens GA USA by Jason NeSmith, who also bashed drums. Kay Stanton sometimes played the bass. Ant Chapman did the final mix in the UK. The last album, Pip, came out on Happy Happy Birthday to Me records in the USA - and Waikiki Records in Japan. KJA's toured the USA several times and Japan once. His first album, Sunshine Loft, came out on DCBaltimore 2012 records in 2003. He had a 7" ep "This is a 6 Track EP" in 2004. He plays a lot of shows solo and a lot of shows with bands backing him: in London his Trio; in Tokyo Elekibass and in the USA Casper and the Cookies.
Monkey seems to be Looking Around The Planet to a shortened version of the song of the same name from the album Unclever.
Video for Other Side of the Road from Unclever. Director Josephine Lewis shot the whole thing on a mobile phone in London and Athens Georgia USA - it's four continuous shots - you sort of self edit as you watch it - so it bears several views. Jason and Kay of Casper and the Cookies are the backing band in the bottom left hand corner.
Here's a video for a shortened version of Mood is so Cheap, coming on a future hhbtm comp. KJA's breakfast? It's sped to double speed, so he had about three minutes to consume stuff.
Here's a video of KJA singing a japanese song with toy piano in Japan in 2006 during his tour with Elekibass. Translation something like "i broke my hand - i broke my hand - and now my life is different - i broke my leg - i broke my leg - and now my life is different - i broke my head - i broke my head - and now my life is different."

I just checked on my 3 year old son, to see if he had been lulled to sleep by the gentle sounds of The French. The cd had moved on. I found him sat on my bed bouncing his happy head. "it's the looking around the planet song daddy" he said merrily. Do I win five pounds?
Where did we go wrong, Mother? He was a prayerful little caterpillar, but now he's grown he thinks nought of lyin' to the Supreme Being. I just don't know...
Hey keith, i hope the rest of the tour's going well. it was really nice meeting and hanging out with you and andy. I've been listening to the your CDs and the M Coast CD a lot and I like them all. have a safe trip back home!
Well many thanks for the sentiment of you Philly-less tour. I suppose i shall come see you in Manhattan. I look forward to seeing you play as i haven't seen you since you played on my friend's college radio show in Maryland just before Pip came out.
