Singing, Writing, Poetry... going to the movies... walking through an art gallery... getting to go to the beach... being able to sit quietly at the lake and watch the ducks swim by... Who am I kidding? I work so much, I don't have that kind of time! I'd be interested in getting time off to do things like that! :)

Love them! All of 'em... except for anything gorey and maybe "The Great Gatsby"... sorry Robert R., much as I love ya, I thought it dragged....
Television
Love that too, but NOT reality TV -- those shows annoy me! The only reality I can watch are design shows like Color Splash, Trading Spaces or Design on a Dime or any of the great HGTV shows on now, but even those will get on my nerves when they break away and leave you hanging... I get so impatient to see the new rooms!!!!! :) I like the before and after!!! My other favorites are the CSI shows, Numb3rs, Criminal Minds and now The Closer. Kyra Sedgwick rocks!
Books
I do enjoy reading, but my very favorite books lately are those by Nora Roberts, especially her series as J. D. Robb -- the "in Death" books. I hope she'll be continuing the saga of Eve Dallas and Roarke. I'm hooked! And of course I'm a Harry Potter maniac! I was in line at the stroke of midnight to be one of the first to get the last book so I could have the complete set! :) And I guess my very favorite book of all is "The Giving Tree" by Shel Silverstein... you're never too old for that one! :)
Heroes
My Mom, who is a 2-time cancer survivor, my Dad, who survived it along with her... they've been married as of this year for 55 years; my sister, who's favorite saying is "How hard can it be?" and survived her cancer surgery and recovery ordeal; and my friend, Henry Slevin, who has dedicated his life to helping those who are in need. Four stellar people who it's a privilege to look up to! And of course all our brave men and women who are serving their country right now. I keep them in my prayers every day, and hope the time will be soon when they can all come home!

At this point, singing is my strongest suite... playing guitar is getting harder to do... :) but singing... I'm still able and willing and pretty darn good at it! :)

Since I started my page quite by accident, and didn't realize there were 2 different kinds of pages, this was not started as an artist's page, so if you hear MY voice on here, it's almost an accident! :) or by the grace and help of fellow musician friends. To get a listen to me now tho', you can click on the Top 40 Icon on this page, or visit my personal website (www.kathymartinmusic.com). Otherwise, the songs I list on here are the talented friends I find on this MySpace Place. I thought this was a great way to find new (at least to me) talent, and by adding their music to my page, a way to let other people listen to great music too! So I change the main song on my page every once in a while to reflect any new and exciting sounds I've encountered... Hope you'll enjoy as much as I do! :)
Who I'd like to meet: Other singers or songwriters or poets. Also anyone named Kathy Martin. Per the suggestion of another Kathy Martin, I've taken to collecting hits on the world wide web for "Kathy Martin", starting a page on my website. So far, I've hit 60 and I'm still counting! It would be great to see how many of us there really are out there! My dream would be to reach 150, contact Dave Letterman, get all of us together and be his studio audience. Then when he asks, "Anyone here in the audience tonight named Kathy Martin?" we could all stand up!!!! It would be a "Just Kathy Martin" night, to go with his "Just Lamps" and "Just Shades" segments!!! We'd definitely make a "Best Of" show, don't ya think?
Hope you got my message the other day. I'm having a rough work week, so I promise the b'day card I have for you will be on its way soon. Trust me, you'll think it's pretty cool when you see it.
I hope you had a great day, and I really miss seeing you. Thank God for the Internet for being able to keep up some.
Best wishes to you, and hope to hear back from you soon.
