Sounds Like
We sound like ourselves. Different. Clear/clean harmonies presented on a palate of tasteful acoustic guitar accompanyment that is unlike almost anything else out there - or so we have been told.
A sort of genre-crossing eclectic style.
The genetic similarites in our voices are immediately evident.
ontinuing a three generation tradition of singing gospel music, The Johnson Family combines many styles with a rich tapestry of beautiful vocals, close harmonies, and stirring guitar accompaniment, inspiring and encouraging the listener. Our music draws from contemporary, praise and worship, gospel, traditional hymns, with a hint of country to present a refreshing new sound. Above all else it draws us to a closer walk with Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith.
s a home-schooled family of seven, the Johnsons spent their childhood listening to and singing along with Christian radio stations. It is little wonder then that music has always been their passion. In 2003 the opportunity for them to start singing as a family was finally open to them and ever since that time they have never been the same. Their youthful energy, enthusiasm, and love for God and family shines through their music. It is our prayer that you will be blessed and edified through their music and testimony.
The Johnsons have lived through very difficult times as a family and by God's grace are still together and desire to serve Him with their time and talents. Being a singing family and ministering as such is very challenging in today's world. Many of the influences and voices around them are calling the family members to personal fulfillment and the pursuit of individual dreams. It has taken several years for God's call upon their lives to become so unmistakable that they are encouraged to press on and continue to minister as a family unit. Many lessons learned (and many more to come) about dying to self and living for others.
ho would have imagined 4 years ago that the Johnson family would be singing and ministering through music to countless thousands of people across the USA? To those who have known the Johnson family over the years and seen their struggles, it would seem impossible…but God had other plans. God has clearly gifted them and called them to a life of service and ministry to others. The calling, however, is not without challenges. Living a life of faith in God's provision for their needs is still a new experience for them. This album chronicles the spiritual journey they are on. Everyone's lives are a sequence of events and experiences that are both exhilarating and frightening at times. They all have the ability to choose to embrace and find joy in the journey, or live a life of fear and anxiety. It is their deepest desire that you will find encouragement, hope, and comfort in the words of the songs contained on this CD. May you find joy on your journey…the 'Ride of Your Life.'

rom the day we are born again as a new creation in Christ, there is much joy and forgiveness of sin. There are also many struggles and trials. Each day is another chance from the Lord to work out our salvation with trembling and fear. The past 20 years have been quite a journey for us. We have seen both victory and defeat, trial and triumph. This CD project chronicles the collective and individual growth of the family as we surrendered our wills to His. Our Lord has shown Himself more than faithful on our behalf and worthy of our trust. We hope the Lord will use these songs to speak to your heart and minister to your needs. May you find that our God is rich in mercy because of His great love with which He has loved us...

Thanks for letting Jesus and me be a MySpace friend; For allowing your space to be a part of our ministry to spread the Good News, “God Cares!” God Loves You! Greetings: The Preacher wants everyone to know, God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. God sent His Son Jesus to die in your place for your sin, that you through Him, might have eternal life. Thousands of men and women young and old have called on the name of Jesus Christ and have been born again. How Preacher? They just humbled themselves under the mighty hand of God, repented of their sin and from their heart accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior! Don’t let Satan deceive you into thinking you can’t be saved, or that salvation is not for you! For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. (Romans 10:13) My friend, all we accomplish in life without Jesus is a waist of time and energy. The things of this world including life will pass away, but the soul will remain either in heaven or hell forever. Today is the day of salvation! www.jesusafterall.com
I am honored to be included as part of your circle of friends and to have you in mine. I truly love your work and artistry. Currently, I am involved with an outreach project, here in Philadelphia, in a city that truly needs a real ministry. Project 215 (www.project215.org) is a group of young rappers, hip-hoppers and kids who grew up in an urban environment. They know all about the problems, struggles as well as the violance taking place on our streets and are dedicated to making a difference. Since they first began, they have made certain that their ministry is one in which hearts will be touched in a positive way, resulting in lives that are changed forever. For 2 consecutive years, Philadelphia has had the HIGHEST murder rate in the country and it is up to all of us to do something about it. If we can even cut the murder statistics by just ONE, it will be worth all of our hard work. We'd love to have you take part in this effort and ask for you to pray about making an appearance, at some point, or whatever God would place upon your heart. Even if you chose not to participate in-person, we really appreciate your prayers and just helping us spread the word by posting this comment. May God bless you, your family and creative endeavors in a mighty way as you continue to reach out to the multitudes for Him through music.
Just stopping by to say “hello!” We’ve got a new video sampler up on our profile. Stop by and visit and we would enjoy hearing back from you! May you have a blessed week.
Blessings, LWPB

Also, thank you for being involved in Compassion's ministry to children in need.
Did you know that Compassion has this cool widget that will show a child that is waiting for a sponsor? Just imagine how you will feel if just one child is sponsored because of your efforts.
