"[j. bradley] speaks in a voice that is instantly familiar, as if he were using words that came directly from your own mouth." Big Poppa E-1999 NPS Champion, Nationally Touring Performance Poet, Founder of the Broken Word Tour (http://brokenword.org)
"j. bradley's work is lucid and powerful. I cannot hope for more from a writer." August Highland-Editor of muse apprentice guild
"The "you" in j. bradley's work is one to be envied. To be this "you" is to be a deserved muse, wrapped in pure poetry and gut. To be truly sought after, longed for and loved. There is a cringe of tightness in his poetry and a sting of uncomfortable silence from this "you." You get a colorful sense of his loss and passion in short intervals of well-woven lyric. j. bradley has designed a pair of glasses for us to his "you" through. These spectacles look like poetry and "you" must be gorgeous." Mike McGee-2003 National Poetry Slam Individual Champion
"If you've got guillotine eyelashes ladies, you will soon yourself be rendered neckless in the eyes." Derrick C. Brown-1998 National Poetry Slam Individual Runner Up & author of If Loving You Is Wrong, Then I Don't Wanna Be Wrong
"j. bradley is a nerdy Henry Rollins." Michael Tedder-aXis Magazine

-This was taken by Paxton of the Farmington, NM team I believe during the Jedimaster's Slam @ NPS 2007. This is me doing a Wookie Haiku. For those that did not know, Wookies, especially Chewbacca loved writing haikus. The thing about Wookie Haikus is that they aren't always 17 syllables. If I remember correctly, Big Poppa E, a potential draftee for the LA Lakers standing at 6'7" once argued with a Wookie about the Wookie Haikus not being true haikus to which said Wookie only hit him so hard, he is as tall as he is today, thus ruining his basketball career in the process. He was very very lucky that the Wookie did not rip his arms off and fist him with his severed limbs, as some of the more sadistic ones are known to do. Anyway, mad love to Erik Daniel for hooking me up with the code needed to do this.
That was great. I think you are really close to redeeming yourself from that awful poem you wrote me at the Fringe. I love you. Thank you for hanging out even when I was sleeping last night! Your food + old Angelina Jolie= happy sleepy Jelian.
