Hey, Jay! just stopping in to say hi and listen for a few. I just noticed Keith in your top friends. Don't see that very often. Very cool!

Have a great weekend...

haha! thanks, man. it really means a lot to me to hear that kind of positive feedback.
actually, i often feel like i'm just hanging out in my comfort zone by writing folksy stuff... it usually just kinda shows up in my head, and then i just need to tweak it a little bit. it's weird.
i've really been wanting to try to do more beat-based and electronic stuff, but i just have no idea where to start!
so kudos to guys like you and shayne who are able to bring all that stuff together.

I'm listening to your album. All of your EPs are different from each other. But each of them is great for what they are.

This latest one makes me feel like I'm hearing the soundtrack to a non existent miyazaki animation.

Thanks for telling me about minimonsta, I still haven't found what you used on it to make that one tune, but regardless, I can now make depressing music at a better quality.

thanks. I'm aiming for a new project and I'm hunting for new sounds. What helped inspired that song anyway? I listen to it constantly whenever I'm zoning out with my mp3 player.

This is kind of a retarded question because I'm not sure how to ask it.
But how did you get that whistling 8bit soundwave for the song "now"? Is there a name for it?

Please do . I'd be much obliged to receive a recording of your songs . And I would like to see more of your visual art as well .

Just out of curiousity , I was wondering are you a fan of Marc Chagall by any chance ? I love his paintings ...especially the one titled 'I and The Village' .

You should. I'm trying to get my friends on you music. A lot of popular chip is mostly dance, but I'm either into really soothing stuff or chaotic half the time. And the samples in the album "I went to sleep to the sound of...OWLS CALLING" just made me lol in a good way.

I also downloaded that video game with your music in it.
Do you know what kind of engine that game was built on perhaps?

That's pretty awesome. Genesis was much better when Peter Gabriel was around I must say. I love that man. Anyway, your work is great! I hope to start putting my work together soon but having a kid slows things down quite a bit. Perhaps when my work improves, we can collaborate some ideas and maybe put on a show together or something.
I would be honored to do that =P
Hera

Mar 28 2008 12:23 PM

Why thank you =P

I added you before a while back but created a new profile. So, I want to know what inspired you to become a musician and what opened you up to the 8bit genre of music.
