Available on Insect Fields:

NEW
------
INSECT FACTORY - "LOST PETS COME HOME" (IF007 cd-r) 32 minutes of lo-fi homespun fuzz sculpting. Slow and humid, just in time for Summer. $3/$4 world ppd

Insect Factory split 7" this Summer with RST from New Zealand!
------

INSECT FACTORY "AIR TRAFFIC CONTROL SLEEP" (IF006 CD)
Studio recorded full-length compact disc. Three extended tracks of sleepy transcendence. Indelible, dense life drones, just in time for Japan tour and late August cricket accompaniment.

"'Air Traffic Control Sleep'...is as quiet as sleep itself. The drones so soft and delicate, that they hardly exist, instead are merely imagined. Highlight is “Head Cloud Shells”, 29 minutes of gossamer fine sonic bliss that soothes and calms the mind." - Terrascope

"'Air Traffic Control Sleep'...remains delicate and deliberate. Whether they conjure air or water, unconsciousness or awareness, these three slo-mo tracks are vividly evocative." - Mark Jenkins, The Washington Post

"..both safe and eerie...Insect Factory's music grows with repeated listens, making Air Traffic Control Sleep worthy of multiple trips." - Marc Masters, The Wire

$7/$8 world ppd

U.S. = $7ppd

World = $8ppd

Insect Factory - "Snowflakes" mini cd-r (IF003 cd-r) An extended "cassingle" now digitized and micro-formatted. Crystalline harmonic cycles with a backdrop of frigid stars. The ultimate Yule log accompaniment. "On 'Snowflakes'...beauty is envisaged in a chiming, gently falling shower of notes that does exactly what the title suggests. Extremely relaxing, it is well liked by babies apparently, I can hear why. Discerning adults will also enjoy its charms." - Terrascope contact for availability

Insect Factory - "Ghosts Above a Warm Pond" (IF005 cd-r) Guitar/chord organ/farfisa moonlit winter glow, recorded live in December 2006. "Much of 'Ghosts Above a Warm Pond,' which was recorded live with guest musicians Scott Verrastro and Greg Svitl, is entrancing." - The Washington Post contact for availability

Forbes Graham - "Invocation of a Quadrilateral" (IF004 cd-r) Trumpet and computer compositions that explore vast territories of micro-climates and extended techniques. Beautiful, warm, and powerful. free download

Insect Factory/DJ Rain SPLIT (IF001 cd-r) An early Insect Factory guitar track inspired by Fripp/Eno. then DJ Rain presents a series of electro- acoustic home plunkings, layered guitar sampling, tape and radio transfers, and an on-site manipulation of an aeolian wind harp sculpture by the enigmatic Das Kitchen group at Forest Hills Cemetery. free download

Earthen Sea (IF002 cd-r) 4 tracks of droning guitar/laptop bliss...completely mesmerizing. "Earthen Sea craft delicately developing drones, that begin life as a droney ultra minimal krautrock / postrock hybrid, with lots of swirling low end, pulsing melodies..."- Aquarius Records free download

I am right now re-listening to your Terrastock 7 performance, and just wanted to reiterate that for me it sums up the whole amazing weekend. Companionship, and bloody fine music - both the familiar and newly discovered.

Even now that little speech you gave at the beginning of your set brings a tear to my eye. What an amazing thing to say - bless you for that. I feel both honoured and privileged to have met you, to have experienced your music first hand, and most of all to have become your friend.

With love and the sincere hope that we can catch up again soon,

Phil / Terrastock

Thanks again for the awesome set at T7! I know you turned a lot of people on. I'm loving the new cds I picked up from you. Likewise, it was pure pleasure getting to meet in person and at such an incredible event on top of it.
Hope to see you again real soon!

Very cool sounds. Let us know next time you're performing in DC. (Sadly we're lame and don't hit the 'burbs too often).

you're a crafty one, barsky. It is a hell of a lot of material to work with but at the same time, it's very minimal.

Maybe I'll just play it backwards.
Will that summon forth any dark lords?

I just finished a remix for this dude Dasto. So, now I begin to work on yours.
You don't make things easy, do you Jeff?
