all of our songs are about love and other such matters. they contain such lyrics as:
* "love comes and goes on the telephone." (overheard on a subway.)
* "our hearts weren't made for mending, oh boy." (overheard in a taxi.)
* "tick-tock. tick-tock. every clock is winding down." (read in an encyclopaedia.)
and lastly,
* "i think i'm falling in love with you, baby." (stolen from another song, most likely.)
Liebe ist überfällig, und wie! Wie Potocki einmal beobachtete, versteht man die unvollkommene Suppe der menschlichen Emotionen besser, wenn man die beiden grundsätzlichen menschlichen Stimmungen, Liebe und Hass, in positiven und negativen Vektoren bemisst. Aber was bedeutet dann eine Liebes-Verpflichtung? Übersetzt sie sich rundum in Hass, oder liest man sie eher als eine boshafte Bemerkung? Und inspiriert uns dieses Lied dahingehend, Hass als Sehnsucht und Sehnsucht als eine Form der Liebe zu beschreiben?
