You came to us so young so tiny and just so very much you. You filled all our lives with laughter and adventure ..remember your first snowfall in Conn?,remember fireworks on the beach in Fla.?, we all do. My daughters Godfather,my surrogate son,my sweet Dan. An easy laugh fierce love of life and adventure,(remember the Copperhead nest you found?, and getting me arrested when I shot them but forgot the gun wasn’t registered?) Shoot, we laughed so hard at Sharon's face(his adopted mom and my sister) when we had to explain the cop in the yard!. Growing into a strong man you always defended the helpless and sometimes even just the unaware. I remain thankful that you shared all of your life, adventures and friends with me and Uncle, we remember everything and never will forget how we anticipated meeting Lin when you and he came home. We talked about how nice it’d be to meet the "brat" we had come to know through the phone! We have not forgotten either of you, nor has the pain of that phone call we got telling us you had passed over and Lin had been taken with you. We will never forgive the hate filled people who in a few moments tore someone from our lives that was so loved and important to us. We speak proudly of you Dan and Lin(Spit),we know both our heroes now sit quietly watching and guiding all of us. Just so you know Dan and Lin, the girls freely, openly and with great love and conviction tell others of their very brave Cousin and his friend Lin who fought to make the world safe and hate free. I love you both and NEVER will forget or forgive.
