HolidayRun is a foursome of unequivocal ability whose explosive creativity knows no bounds. Their latest work, The Sage EP (released late winter '06), effectively communicates not only where they are from, but where they are going.
The listener of Kisses and Lies will find himself enticed by an overwhelmingly mellow verse which is appropriately seamed with comely lyrics, but only to be violently interrupted by a chorus that will relent only twice to the sweet, ethereal bridge.
Kisses and Lies is the first song HolidayRun has ever written and it only gets better from here. Their talent for serenity is matched only by their ability to coerce it into pure, blister virility. Even their "broadstroke" approach to their live performance will take you seamlessly from surrender to aggression so that the listener will have never known the difference between the three. They were a passionate collaboration successfully (and consistently) interpreting joy and rest; peace and frustration; love and hate. Their goal is to take you on a holiday from one to the next and they do so very well. Your ears will never grow weary of HolidayRun.
