I play the piano, with some background in classical piano, but I play mostly 'jazz' of sorts - playing songs by chords instead of sheets, which gives much wider range for improvisation and dramatization.
I own three to five pairs of trousers - depending on you definition. On the other hand the number of shoes I own is the solid, undisputed number of 6(shoes, not pairs). I am deeply interested in literature, but only superficially so.
Once when I was kid, a neighbour came up to me and asked me whether I would like to own a pair of mice he had in a box. Nobody was home, so technically I was in charge, and had, in my view, full right to make decisions such as these. I promptly accepted. I remember having the mice at home, in the same box, for a week or so, but I don't remember what happened to them, most likely mom got rid of them and sold me some cockamamy story and I forgot about it. Must remember to ask mom.
I work as a software consultant for a company specializing in cartography and geographic information systems (and yes, that IS as exciting as it sounds).
I used to smoke pipe - and as a result most people had me pegged for the humanities. Nothing says pomo lit faggot like a good and stoked pipe, and had I not been waylaid by Fate, such had probably been my path. But Fate did step in and sent me a glossy pamphlet for a Computer Science degree. It had pictures of handsome guys with emo-glasses in pastel-colored turtlenecks pouring over snazzy laptops. Beside them were ponytailed blondes wearing Prada glasses and tight-fitting striped blouses, looking intrigued.
Try and tell me you wouldn't be sold by that...
I later found out that all the people in the pictures were studying Business and NOT Computer Science, but by that time, the die had been cast. So it goes.
