A charismatic, melody-driven rock band, Liverpool-based GK & THE RENEGADES continue to impress fans and critics alike with their energy and ambition.
The video to their song 'Girls From Birkenhead' was released on the web in Autumn 2007, it was produced by Hollyoaks actor Matt Littler and stars his TV co-star Kent Riley. The video was featured on the stage6.com homepage - where it was played 25,000 times in one week - and has also generated a similar amount of attention on YouTube.
In 2007 they impressed thousands with their spectacular live act and supported the likes of The Hoosiers, Scouting For Girls, Underground Heroes, IAMX and Wheatus. They have been played on BBC Radio, XFM London, XFM Manchester, Juice FM, Radio City, Insomnia Radio UK and many other radio shows and podcasts. They kicked off 2008 with a bang with a packed headline show at the Liverpool Carling Academy 2 and a Digital distribution deal with Takeover Digital in LA (run by two ex members of Yellowcard). They have been described recently as "a band that are pretty much at the top of the unsigned game". GK & THE RENEGADES are currently concentrating on promoting their headline show at the Liverpool Carling Academy 2 on 31st May whilst recording begins for their debut self-produced album.
