FOX PASS is a veteran Boston pop/rock band with a newly released CD dubbed “FOX PASS”. Their music is a blend of rootsy Americana and Power Pop, with multiple lead singers, 3 part harmonies, upbeat inspiring songs and clever lyrics, jingle jangle airy guitars over driving rhythms. FOX PASS is a band with an enigmatic name and fortuitous mystique, having been known in several arcane circles as foreshadowing certain Boston music scenes, and currently having the historical credibility to match their contemporary sound. The new CD shows FOX PASS’ wide range of musical abilities, and captures the sound of their live shows within a rich and sparkling studio recording. They have received great press reviews and are appearing all over the town. Obscure bits of folklore do preceed them in this new era. Please visit the www.foxpassmusic.com and check out many versions of history.
"Fox Pass," bien sûr, est dérivé d'une phrase française commune, "Faux Pas." This was not commonly known in the original incarnation of the band.
This is an invite to play a 4-band show at Cantab Lounge with THIRD RAIL plus 2 more bands I'm kabitzing with.
The date is Saturday, January 10. Are you down for that? If you reply today you have your choice of slots. That will change tomorrow. Aloha ~ Richard :)
FP: many thanks for a great night Saturday at Church! Love the band, the songs, the harmonies, the energy, the vibe. Absolute inspiration--the perfect complement for a lovely spring evening. L

I was recommended to book bands at The Machine, 1254 Boylston Street, across from WBCN. It's a Henry Vara basement bar with a big room and raised stage. Sounds like it could be the new Rat :)
I hope to go in there over the coming weekend and check it out. I'll let you know if anything good comes of it.
Hey, John Macey, didn..t I once see you open for Dwight Twilley at Paul..s Mall? I still have the "Prized Posession" 45. I love that song. I remmeber Maxanne used to actually play it on BCN way back when it was a decent radio station. Also, I have this great picture of a shirtless Willie Alexander drumming for The Mindless F#@*#s at The Rat with "Macey" written across his chest.
I am very much looking forward to Filming the Church show this Saturday. It is a really good room with a nice stage. If you can please arrainge for someone to run the lights.
i will be a tad frantic coming from the Middle East's 20th anniversary shoot as I couldnt avoid double booking the night!
I also want to thank you all very sincerely for including me in your top friends here in myspaceland.

And to you Jon Macey my friend ~ were you (I believe) playing guitar on "Cruising Kaua'i"?
That song is on the new Third Rail CD but it is ALSO posted on my future band site and has received about 160 plays in less than one week! Go check it out at >>> myspace.com/dangerstrongcurrent
And hey Jon, who else performed on that song? Lotta people asking now ~ who would have guessed? :) ha ha
Jon & Stephen, Thanks for sending the new Fox Pass CD. I really enjoyed it. You guys have Tom Petty and The Byrds in your veins which should be taken as a highest compliment. My fave tracks were #2 and #5. Keep up the good work and thanks again for sending the cd.
