Based in Oslo, Norway. Singer Anja, guitarist Jo Bakke and Ulf Nygaard (programming and some vocal) plus tour and session drummer Erik Ruud.
Founded sometime around year 2000. Signed for Beatservice Records late that year.
Debut single Blue Monday (New Order cover) released April 2002. Debut album For Sleepyheads Only was released in late April. The band were invited to do a BBC recording session in London for the Radio 1 show «The Blue Room», and made their UK live debut at the Notting Hill Art's Club. Flunk are also signed to Guidance Recordings in the US.
US version of For Sleepyheads Only released in October 2002. The band
went to London to play London Jazz Festival in November.
Second album proper, Morning Star, released in Norway in May 2004 on Beatservice Records. In the US it was released late autumn by Kriztal. The track Play was a feature track on an episode of TV series The O.C. - and also on one of their compilation albums.
After the Morning Star album, the various band members finished other projects and educational endeavours. In addition, the band toured the US west coast in the spring of 2006 and have also played numerous European cities such as Tessaloniki, Bratislava, Prague, Istanbul, and Belgrade.
The third album Personal Stereo was released in May 2007, a remix album of tracks from the album, Democracy, followed in November 2007.
