These are highlights from two videos that my firesister Lindsay and I made for the Home of Poi's video competions COL (Circles of Light) 4 and 5. It was shot and edited by my cousin, Ian Mah. I re-edited it for this. The music is by my brother's band Kan'Nal. Gosh I have a talented family!
BLACKLIGHT SISTERS
This is the Firesisters, but different. It's a blacklight video that appeared on COL 2006. The music is by Pacha which is Teresita, Rudolpho and Gilly from Kan'Nal. It was shot and edited by Ian Mah at the Centre of Gravity, Zero Gravity Circus's headquarters www.zerogravitycircus.com. (Thanks Eli!)

Our favorite band is KAN'NAL (www.kannal.org).They have the best fire dancing music ever! (and we're not just saying this because Linda's brother is in it :)
Our other favorite band is LUNAR FIRE, Kan'Nal's wild alter-ego. The band improvises tribal jams, while band and guest fire artists blow your mind. In this video, Lindsay and I dance with fire fans, then Paddy spins fire staff. Lindsay and I do a spectacular, double poi routine. Then Paddy joins us. We do some triple fire poi, including the "corkscrew" move with three people. I had forgotten how beautiful this. is.

hey you too...I'm bored of poi so I'm going over to staff...it's going well and hasn't taken me months to work out new tricks... lyndsay are you back at school??? I'm back for one class aka access to tools and machinery I'll never have ;)
Its good to meet an interesting person like yourself! If we ever find were in the same place I would love to do a burn or 2 with you and exchange new ideas about POI, Circus Acts, and Life with you.
As for coming to Tronato .. well .. Cirque du Soleil is from their and Kooza did the tour up their already. We are in Chicago now.. then Boston at the end of August.. then Washington DC, then Attlanta GA. If you want to come and burn in any of them citys let me know. I cant get you tickts but can provide a floor to sleep on. ;)
