Fireballs of Freedom
Described by many as the last stronghold of the psychedelic hardcore. The Fireballs of Freedom have kept true to their original master plan, distinguished by it's sonic power and above averaqe musical arrangements. As more and more bands cash in their sincerity, enthusiasm, and guts for temporary coolness, the musical flavor-of-the-minute and the empty prestige of hipsterdom, it's getting more and more difficult to be a fan of independent music. That said, the Fireballs are by no stretch of the imagination peach-fuzzed innocents. They are, however, the genuine article: real-deal rock-and-rollers in the great tradition of Jerry Lee Lewis, Lawrence Welk, Elvis Presley and Shane McGowan. The Fireballs make the kind of gritty, knife-edged garage punk that will stand the test of time. It's bizarre to think that four down-home Midwestern dudes hit on soul-punk like this when they could have just as easily gone into the meth business or gotten themselves killed jumping ditches with a four-wheeler. Think backwoods Black Flag or a more urban Run Westy Run. Better yet, don't think and just listen. The Fireballs of Freedom have records available on Estrus, Wantageusa, Dirtnap and Empty Records.
Zanx for the addiction. I remember that you, in azkena, previously must play at 20:00, and finally you played at 3:00 aprox. The show was brutal. Really. We love Stooges, but you... you are the madafakers nª 1!!!! Salud!!!

Glad to see yall are still together, take care. Zac
