He lived in Flint, Michigan and worked at General Motors until retiring after 28 years of faithful service in 1982. He loved writing, gardening and singing gospel music. George had a transferable enthusiasm for life, evidenced over the last few months as he maintained a positive outlook throughout his challenging ordeal, always encouraging family and friends to do the same.He was the oldest of ten siblings. He was preceded in death be his brother, John Gentry, and his sisters, Lois McNeal and Eddie Henderson.On December 15, 1956, he married Ruth (Deloney) Gentry, they did not have children.
