My roommate and I watched this documentary last night. It infuriated me, but it also inspired me. I grew up in Kansas and I didn't think there was a place that existed that was more conservative than us, until I truly learned what the Bible belt was. It amazes me the fear that people have about telling teenagers the truth. I grew up learning about the True Love Waits pledge, but our youth group never participated in it. I'm so relieved I never got sucked into it. It's fear tactics based in guilt and shame. I do believe abstinence is the smartest option for MANY reasons, but the church sucks at really explaining why that's true. I'm very in favor of a comprehensive sex education program, and I cannot believe others aren't. School is for just that, EDUCATION. Teach the facts, the entire spectrum of the situation. If I tell someone to not drive if they're drunk, it doesn't mean I'm telling them to get drunk, it just means I don't want them killing themselves or me when they're driving irresponsibly. Sorry that I'm preaching.
Basically, great job with the documentary and I plan on recommending this to everyone I know.
