| About Dustlab |
Dustlab is back on the scene with newness after a few years off. So welcome to the Dustlab!
Dustlab began in the dorm room of a dusty college town (hence the name). Steve G., having been a Hip Hop head since birth, grew tired of the direction that Hip Hop was headed in and sought to spark it with ne influences from the vast college music scene he was immersed in. Breaks, Trip Hop and Jungle caught his ear and made a perfect departure for his own brand of underground Hip Hop. Artists like Portishead, Trick, Roni Size and The Chemical Brothers were exactly what this former rapper-turned-DJ/producer had been looking for for that new feeling.
Dustlab, under the name Psyrendust, went on to win the URB Magazine/Roland Music National Groove Competition and became a remix artist for Moonshine Music. After becoming an underground hit on the DnB/Jungle scene on various internet outlets, Dustlab did several cameo appearances on fellow underground artists collaborations, most notably ORG Lounge's debut disc on Watermusic Records.
Back to further complicate the attempt to put music into categories, Dustlab is coming with a more contemplative approach and proving that you can't shove good music into one category.
