Strident, resistant and ceaselessly melodic, Songs For The Road is the second album from David Ford, released in the UK in late 2007.
The triumphant swell of Songs For The Road is cut from the breadth of David’s encounters during his extensive tours through the USA, Australia and Canada during 2006.
Following the acclaimed release of his debut album I Sincerely Apologise For The Trouble I Have Caused, Ford spent much of 2006 in the U.S where he was met with an amazing reception. Stunning reviews ran in the New York Times, Rolling Stone, the LA Times and the Toronto Star and Ford found himself championed by NBC’s Carson Daly on whose ‘coast to coast’ show he appeared three times.

My sister and I are coming to see you at the Mercury Lounge in New York in 19 days...cant wait man! i am surprised it is not sold out yet tho...Joe's Pub sold out pretty quickly
DF! Love your music sir, you are a God Amongst Men. Coming to see your show in Philly and was hoping i could get your or ingrid to do the Mercenaries song... it's HILARIOUS and i think done indie style would make it superb. Let me know if you need the full version, it's called "Oh No You Didn't"
Looking forward to next Friday at the Union Chapel and Vinyl in Atlanta in October, any chance of playing Laughing Aloud next week, would sound amazing at that venue....
Thank you for adding the new stuff, I agree with the last comment. I would go to OHIO to see u..unless u want to stop in evansville IN !! I am so glad I have your music in my life!!!
David, you need to put Laughing Aloud on here. That is one of my favorites. You've inspired my songwritting. And you need to come play a show in Ohio, so I can see you live
aha, so Ingrid's opening act IS *THE* DF?!? I was so excited when I saw that, but since then I've been wondering if it is some other DF. I mean, shouldn't DF be headlining over Ingrid? I like her, but she's going to have a hard time impressing anyone after they see THE DF. yay!
