I am an artist. I dabble in a little bit of everything but feed my soul with
poetry and spoken word. My poetic journey has led me to three outstanding organizations.
Albany Poets is the local organization that I belong to and has probably been the most important organization for me to be involved with. After all, this is my scene, this is where I write and perform. I will do anything within reason that I can to help this area be robust for poets and spoken word artists.
I was asked to be on the board of directors when Thom Francis took the slow-moving organization over from its co-founder R.M. Englehardt. Thom had ideas that had been burning a hole in his mind for some time now, and he needed to start to bring them to fruition. When Thom formed the BOD, things really took off. Prysmatic Dreams, or PD for short, started as a message board for poetry. I was there at the beginning of this one with Maximus Parthas and a lot of other people to start this family. That's what it really is, a family of poets who are all there to help each other out and fulfill their dreams. Click the logo and see what this has become.
The New Word Order was born out of the same people who started PD, only this is a movement more than an organization. Our generations statement for all to

I've been traveling like a mad woman from Minneapolis, MN for the 3rd B-Girl Be Summit (read my new blog!) all the way to the Bean for DJ Nomadik's She-Said CD Release Party & Femme Fatales II Show @ Harpers Ferry. I'm headed back home to FL for a few before I head back out to B'more for the Baltimore Music Conference and to Vegas for the MAGIC International Trade Show.
