I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4 Hello to everyone who passes by my way, glad you stopped in to visit and I hope you come again. For those of you who don't know me I have been doing a Solo Acoustic act for a little over two years now, after having been in many bands that just weren't for me. I also work part-time at a music store selling guitars and various other musical intruments. And I am going to school for Music Performance. I try to surround myslef with the love that is music as much as I can. As far as material I am trying so hard and writing so much trying to not consider myself a cover act, though when you're playing 3 to 4 hour shows you can't really help it all that much. And don't get me wrong I love doing covers, they're really fun, but what I am really after is to get my own music out there.
So I have recently been in my studio writing a bunch and recording, which has become much easier now that I've been putting this new band/project together called" SOLFISH." Consisting of a lovely blend of Jim Pforr on the Bass guitar and Eric Summers on hand percussions.
Jim and I have played quite a bit together in the years past in a couple of different bands and I think our styles of music blend well together. Where I am more bluesy he's bringing more funk to the mix. Jim is also an excellent song writer which is nice, because it has doubled our supply of original music. My Good friend Eric Summers started with us as a favor, he was at one of our regular Thursday night gigs at the Rosebowl in Urbana, and we just Happen to have a Djimbe there. We asked him to play and when he did we knew right away that he was exactly what was missing from our music, and he's been here ever since, adding more and more bells and whisles everytime we play. Eric also plays guitar in another band called "Trailer Park Moses."
The SOLFISH plays at the Rosebowl every Thursday night, which is kind of our practice/rehearsal gig, that feels like home with an audience, (and a fully stocked bar). So if you are ever in the area please stop in and say hello
