YERBA MATE drinkers!! Yerba mate (pronounced mah-tae) is a species of holly native to subtropical South America in northern Argentina, Paraguay, Uruguay and southern Brazil.
Mate, a caffeinated herbal tea, is prepared by steeping the dried leaves in hot water. Drinking mate with friends from a shared hollow gourd (also called a mate) with a metal straw (a bombilla) is an extremely common social practice in Argentina. It is used in popular medicine as a STIMULANT to the central nervous system, a diuretic, and an APPETITE suppressant. Come try yerba mate any Sunday !!

The Little Cave asked me to come back and DJ my funk and soul for their Sunday Fiesta every Sunday! It's an awesome way to spend yr sunday with $3 Bud Light pints, $5 special drinks ... sprinkle a lil' funk overtop of all that and it's nothin' but good times, sugarcookie. Plus I'm bringing my dvd's to play on the big screen as well and I have some supercool funky films for them peepers.
*NOTE for Today the 28th: Sadly, the Taco guy broke his hand and there won't be any taco platters happening @ today's gig.... bummer, I know. But hey, you'll get drunk faster on an empty stomach anyways ;]
