Shelly is a native of Missouri and spent her childhood singing in church and school music competitions. She credits her love of music to her parents who have spent many years driving her over 400,000 miles around the country to singing engagements.
In 1998 Shelly graduated from college with a degree in Criminal Justice and immediately moved to Nashville to pursue a career in music. Shelly has performed at many televised Nascar races and has been touring around the country playing at mostly fairs, casinos, and nightclubs. She has been the opening act for such artists as Sarah Evans, Dwight Yoakam, Blake Shelton, Lonestar, Trace Adkins, and has been the opening act for Michael Peterson throughout the previous year.
Shelly takes pride in being able to collaborate with some of Nashville's most respected industry execs including Dick Frank who is a very well-known music attorney in Nashville as well as legendary producer Barry Beckett. More recently, Shelly has teamed up with well-known producer Clyde Brooks. One of the tracks they cut, "Keep Messing With Me" has been played on 38 radio stations throughout her home state of Missouri. This project has recently led to record label interest.

As soon as Anita graduated, she hit the road and played clubs across the U.S. and in Canada. Summers found her playing fairs and festivals. Playing drums and singing lead and harmony vocals in a well established family band (her family) called “Wild West”, resulted in the opportunity of opening for numerous name acts, including Dixie Chicks, Chely Wright, Pam Tillis, Brad Paisley, Diamond Rio, Marty Stewart, Shenandoah, Hal Ketchum, Collin Raye, Blackhawk, Lonestar and Alan Jackson. Paula Jo - Guitar & Vocals
Paula Jo has deep country music roots as she started performing at age seven on stage with her dad, Joe Taylor - the Nashville Country Music Hall of Fame recognition award recipient. Born in Fort Wayne, Indiana she spent most of her life there performing with her Dads band, the Red Birds. In her teens she branched off and formed her own band called Goldrush, which quickly became one of the Indiana region's most popular bands. Paula Jo has open for and performed with many Nashville stars and her band was featured on the nationwide syndicated Chris Conn radio show. Though in the early years she performed mainly around the Indiana, Ohio and Michigan area, Paula Jo traveled back and forth to Nashville, Tennessee as often as time would allow. She performed at various venues in and around Nashville and began writing songs. Many of her songs have since been released by major label recording artists including several songs for Cledus T. Judd that were featured on his last three albums. As one of Nashville's finest ever, female lead guitar players, she endears audiences with her cute antics and wows them with her playing.
Influences
Reba, Sugarland, Patsy Cline, Tammy Wynett, Loretta Lynn, The Judds, The Eagles, Alabama, The Oaks. Any good "harmony" bands.
The band is broadBAND and as the self-effacing name implies all the members are women. The "gimmick" of having all women in a band is rendered a "gimmick" only because of the dearth of female back-up musicians in the music industry as a whole-tons of female singers but not so many gal drummers, guitarists, and fiddle players. But the "gimmick" wouldn't work if the music was just average-and apparently it isn't with this group as all of the members of broadBAND have impressive credentials. Individually and together they have opened for all the biggies in country music from George Jones and Dwight Yoakham to Rascal Flatts and Sugarland. Lead singer Shelly Bush has even sang the national anthem at a handful of Nascar races and several of them have included televised appearances.
Most everyone in broadBAND had been playing in different bands together already so about three years ago they decided to put together broadBAND, an all-girl band that contains exceptional musicianship. The chemistry was instant and they have already made a name for themselves playing over 150 shows a year together. In early 2007 they played during NASCAR week in Las Vegas. Not only have they been playing to standing room only crowds on the local club scene in Nashville and to an abundant amount of growing fans on the club, casino, and fair circuit across America, they have landed the opportunity to open for many major acts. Recently they opened for Lonestar and Sugarland at Country USA and they have been in the studio recording some new music and most of it was written by some of the band members.
