   About Beauty from Within
..

Beauty From Within is a ministry based out of Pasadena, California, headed up by one fearless lady with a passion and a plan: to educate and inform individuals throughout this nation and this world about the need to be literate and aware of how the media influences, shapes, and warps our concept of beauty.

Joined by a rapidly growing army of friends and folk who share the same hopes and desires, Amy Kaherl is working to help others understand that beauty is a far more subjective thing than it's given credit for in this world. Magazines, movies, newspapers, the Internet, and television are all used to inform us that there is a singular ideal of beauty, and that those who do not fit neatly within the prerequisites and rules set up to define "beauty" are less than "perfect", and are worth less than those with acceptable body types.

Truthfully, however, the human race cannot be divided into strict sections, ranks, and classes like animals, although many have tried throughout history to do so. Inevitably, people struggle against and break loose of that which binds them, telling them that they are worthless and less than human. We hope that Beauty From Within can help others to begin to break free from the rigid definitions of beauty that have virtually paralyzed the hearts of so many in our society today. We hope that, through education, encouragement, support, and solidarity, Beauty From Within can become a rallying cry of hope for the masses. May we all come to realize that we are, as individuals, truly beautiful, and truly of immense worth.

A message from Beauty From Within's founder, Amy Kaherl:

" I love that I have a chance to talk to people regarding how wonderful and amazing that they are. It is my goal to open the eyes of people who may be struggling with the lie that they have to look 'perfect' in order to be considered 'beautiful'. For me, BFW is a chance to educate others about media literacy through body and self image education. It rules, and I have already come to know so many incredible people. I am blessed."

Anna Nicole Smith Finally Reaches Target Weight

NASSAU, BAHAMAS—Former stripper turned Playboy Playmate turned reality-TV star Anna Nicole Smith has overcome her longtime struggle with obesity, at last reaching her target weight of 125 pounds, sources said Monday.

"Anna's been through a lot," said Florida Circuit Court Judge Larry Seidlin, who became visibly emotional as he spoke to reporters. "But I think it's fair to say that she hasn't been this happy in years."

Forensics reports reveal that Smith's miraculous weight loss began on Feb. 8, when she was discovered unconscious in her Hollywood, FL hotel room. She then proceeded to shed the baby weight she had gained during her recent pregnancy, even as her numerous legal woes and the controversy surrounding her 6-month-old daughter Dannielynn's paternity thrust Smith into the public eye more than ever before.

"The last several weeks have been particularly rough for Anna, but thankfully she's turned a corner," said attorney Richard Millstein, the legally appointed guardian for Dannielynn. "At least some good has come out of this sad and sordid tale."

Several sources close to Smith confirmed that she did have some work done in the intervening weeks, losing a significant amount of weight after doctors removed several pounds of her internal organs for toxicity tests. Others credit the loss to aggressive calorie cutting.

Broward County Chief Medical Examiner Joshua Perper said Smith "slowly and steadily" shed the excess pounds before closing in on her goal in the past week.

"Those last 20 pounds were the hardest," Perper said. "But God bless her, she did it. Finally, after all that struggle, she's in a good place."

Some weight-loss experts, however, see Smith's achievement as les

"Cowardice asks the question, 'Is it safe?'

Expediency asks the question, 'Is it politic?'

Vanity asks the question, 'Is it popular?'

But, conscience asks the question, 'Is it right?'

And there comes a time when one must take a position that is neither safe, nor politic, nor popular, but one must take it because one's conscience tells one that it is right."

i met you at VA beach (with the girl below lol) and i just have to say, you are an amazing person. your message is so inspiring. i pray that you can spread that message. it's so important that people learn that they are perfect because God made them in His image. I think society tries to fit this "perfect" into a mold, but we are made in God's image and God cannot be boxed in like that. Thank you for inspiring me and so many others

Hi Amy,

It was great meeting you at VA Beach this weekend. You have an amazing, amazing message that you are sharing. People these days get too caught up in physical appearance, and what is "In" at that moment in time.

I got one of the Beauty from Within shirts, and had you and all the Rahfah boys sign it. People have already asked me questions on it, and they love it too.

xx,

Hi,
I need your help to spread the TRUTH about porn and how it's affecting our youth and our families. Will you help me by putting me in your top friends or maybe putting a link to my web site on your myspace? I know if we join together, we can make a difference. Without your help, porn will continue to hurt millions of people. Right now the largest group for viewing porn is ages 12-17. This is terrible! Porn is ruining the lives of our children and we have got to do something before it's too late!
Thank you SO MUCH for any help you can give me. God will surely bless you for it!

Happy Valentines Day ! You are loved and prayed for daily. Garrett and I wanted to tell you that you were made for great things and we pray this year will be the year you let the Lord Jesus come in and do amazing things in your life.
All you have to do is let Him in.

'Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me.

Much love and hugs,
