About BACKBONE SLIDE

BACKBONE SLIDE was a Blues based Hard Rock band that came storming out of the Blackforest of Germany in the early 90's.

Fronted by American heavy Blues-Rock vocalist SHAUN WILLIAMSON, the band garnered a solid following from their blistering live performances and were quickly snatched up by the famous European Metal label MAUSOLEUM.

Production of the band's debut album was handled by EDD MILLER (Georgia Satellites, 38 Special, Kansas..). The album featured guests contributions from 38 SPECIAL Guitarist DANNY CHAUNCEY, and drummer ALEX SCOTTI from the band THUNDERHEAD.

Management was handled by legendary ROLLING STONES manager/producer ANDREW LOOG OLDHAM.

The band toured extensively throughout Europe and the U.K with bands such as THE RIVERDOGS.

Despite all of the momentum, the band parted ways in 1994 amidst the onslaught of the Grunge movement.

All of the members of BACKBONE SLIDE are still involved in the music business except for Bass player Frank Schrafft..he married a model and has a bunch of kids somewhere...
