Baby Soda! Developed by hoboes, perfected through science... Baby Soda is on the cutting edge of a new movement loosely known as street jazz; with an eclectic set of influences ranging from New Orleans brass bands, jug music, southern gospel and hot jazz. The ensemble doesn’t desire to recreate the past, rather they bring the concept and joy of the music to the present. Baby Soda is an adaptable and ever changing group made up of New York’s finest musicians; featuring trumpet, accordion, clarinet, washboard, banjo and one string box bass. Accordionist Patrick Harison also does double duty as the bands vocalist with a voice described as Tom Waits meet’s Rudy Vallee. The band can be seen regularly at some of New York’s finest venues like Cafe Moto, Barbes, The Knitting Factory and the Plaza Hotel. In addition to their busy schedule of club dates, Baby Soda loves performing on the street. This allows them to hone their skills and bring the music directly to the people. Both Pediatrics and Geriatrics agree, Baby Soda is the sure cure for the aches and pains of the modern world!
A site for bands, fans, and dj's. Here it is! The first ranking system that actually pays and offers free mp3 downloads! It's simple, bands register to see their ranking and fans vote to get free mp3 downloads. Everybody wins! The top band at the end of every month gets 25% of the revenue made by the site in that month. A random band is also chosen and gets 10% of the revenue for that month. Also a random fan is chosen and they get 5% of the revenue made by the site for that month. It's a win, win, win situation for all!!!
Can't wait to have you play the Swing House party for us on 3/22! Planning to keep this hot new live music vintage dance monthly going for as long as we can.
Great show tonight. The older gentleman was on point. As were all of you. The washboard and butter-churn bass were insane. I actually couldn't pick out who was from Loose Marbles that I saw in the park this summer. I'm just glad I got to see the group you got together tonight. Really, really, really great.
