About me:
“That night, while the hot dry wind blew like a Jovian tempest through ancient sandstone formations, I lay on my back in my tent, waiting to hear from the aliens, God, anybody...

"I didn’t receive an answer. No comment from the sky, the ground, other dimensions, nothing. Nada. So since the great Out There wasn’t communicating with me, I knew I had to take the initiative to talk to Him or Her or Them."
--Baba Ed

Baba Ed is the leader and patriarch of Offworld, the world's most popular space-based religion. He is something new: a guru of astrotheology. Offworld is headquartered at Andromeda Station, high on the slopes of California's White Mountain. The group worships UFOs and the universe, and believes that life on Earth came from the stars, via comets or meteors. At different points during mankind's history, extraterrestrial "interventions" have enhanced our evolution.

Offworld's most important ritual celebration is called Galactus and takes place during the Perseid meteor showers. UFO believers, abduction veterans, SETI supporters and astronomy buffs have donated heavily to Offworld over the years, and Baba Ed is using a large portion of those contributions to fund a top-secret project called "The Channel" which seeks to bring us into continual contact with our space brothers and sisters.

Oh yes, we should also mention that Baba Ed is a character in the science-fiction novel "The Big God Network," which can be found here:

Hail, Baba Ed, great celestial kahuna of Cosmogaian karma,
I trust that you and Katia are well, great seer. Thank you for having the RE-VO band as guests at the Andromeda Station. We enjoyed the recon mission, and the food was awesome. It was a gas, man. We are looking forward to the great Galactus gig in the sky with tremendous (as Tim Curry would say) antici.... pa-tion.
I have already spoken with Io and Callisto about a subject of great concern, but I thought that I should bring this directly to your attention. Some fools out there are stating brashly that the Andromeda Station property is actually theirs:
Those idiots! Regrettably, now Manny is distrusting of the whole thing, ranting paranoically like Carlin on coke:
"I knew it! I knew it, man! The whole Offworld thing was too good to be true."
If it's not too much of an imposition, perhaps you could write a few words to Manfred, and put his mind at ease. Sadly, on seeing the WMRS site, he has now transferred his distrust of dogs to that of marmots. Is there no end to this madness?
As the stars will have it,

The Solar System consists of the Sun and those celestial objects bound to it by gravity. These objects are the eight planets & their 166 known moons, three dwarf planets and their 4 known moons; & billions of small bodies, including asteroids, Kuiper belt objects, comets, meteoroids, & interplanetary dust. In broad terms, the charted regions of the Solar System consist of the Sun, four terrestrial inner planets, an asteroid belt composed of small rocky bodies, 4 gas giant outer planets, & a 2rd belt, the Kuiper belt, composed of icy objects. Beyond the Kuiper belt is the scattered disc, the heliopause, & ultimately the hypothetical Oort cloud. A planet is any body in orbit around the Sun that has enough mass to form itself into a spherical shape and has cleared its immediate neighbourhood of all smaller objects. By this definition, the Solar System has 8 known planets. From the time of its discovery in 1930 until 2006, Pluto was considered the Solar System's ninth planet. But in the late 20th and early 21st centuries, many objects similar to Pluto were discovered in the outer Solar System, most notably Eris, which is slightly larger than Pluto.

Hail, Baba Ed,
Your point is very well taken, big Kahuna... It is logical that my own "Worldview" will stimulate copycat promiscuous sex and random violence-- Oliver Stone's "Natural Born Killers," intended as a critique of senseless random violence, became a model for American psychopaths and actually inspired a number of evil man-woman duos. Dave Chapelle actually walked away from his empire when he realized that he was becoming "part of the problem."
I must continue to hope that listeners will actually hear the admonishment of my "TV voice" ("What the f%$k is wrong with you?") and hope that they feel sufficiently reprimanded.
That being said, my training of young Elvises has begun, in order to fill the 'first string' in the "Off-Beat" religion... have a listen, oh, great one:

Hail, Baba Ed,
Greetings, big Kahuna.
Please visit dreamland11 (http://www.myspace.com/dreamland11) and click the “Videos” link, just below my orange-suited spaceman avatar. There, you will find my new music video, “Worldview.” If you really enjoyed that, go to YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8kGYNcy2L_g) and, if you’re a YouTube member, leave a nice comment there, as well.
I have taken your advice about embedding subliminal hypnotic messages into my videos, in order to indoctrinate followers more effectively. Please let me know what Guttman thinks of my use of his technology.
I hope that you have a great week ahead, Gaian guru.

HI !! my Dear Friend ,
Saturn is a gaseous huge planet, the second en masse and in volume after Jupiter. its diameter is approximately valid that the Earth. Saturn is mainly formed by hydrogen. its name comes from the Roman god Saturn. Saturn has the shape of a sphéroïde oblat : the planet is flattened in the poles and blown in the equator. its equatorial and polar diameters postpone of about 10 % (120 536 Km for the first one, 110 466 km for the second), consequence of its fast rotation on herself and an extremely fluid internal composition. Other gaseous giants of the solar system (Jupiter, Uranus and Neptune) are also flattened, but in a less marked way.
Saturn is the most massive second planet of the solar system, 3,3 times less than Jupiter, but 5,5 times more than Neptune and 6,5 times more than Uranus. In comparison with The Earth, the Saturn is 95 times as massive. His diameter being approximately 9 times as big as that of the Earth, we could accommodate 760 bodies of the size of this last one in the volume occupied by the gaseous giant.

I hope you’re well and your week is nice and enjoy….

Hello Baba Ed,
Thank you for finding me.
I was intrigued by all of RE-VO's comments on your page and of course, want SETI to have all the help they can get.
I am not channeling anybody, and the only cult I am worried about is the cult of Oprah.
But I digress. Welcome to my world, LindaLand, where the skies are blue, there is water for everyone and peace prevails on this planet. Namaste Baba Ed.

Hail, Baba Ed,
Thank you, oh great one, for your thorough response to my letter. I have begun to prepare for my meeting, this summer, with your pompousness. I typed "how to start your own religion" into Google, and was quite surprised to get 1,390 options, many of them frightenly sincere. Here are three of the least psychotic of the lot:
You are probably correct in your assessment that my feminist/inclusive perspective is entirely inappropriate to the design of a religion or cult, but I am willing to boldly go [forgive the split infinitive] where no masculinist has gone before.
I am pleased that you like my idea for an Elvis-based cult... I believe that Americans, already obsessed with the alleged King of rock n' roll, will be enthusiastic about a religion that emphasizes the 'human' side of the Tennessee truck driver-- the sandwich-eating, hot dog loving, TV shooting regular guy, as flawed as anyone:
Thanks for your moral support, big kahuna. Have no fear... I'm all Wozzed up! My assistant is packing a suitcase full of money, as we speak.

Hail, Baba Ed,
Thanks for clearing this up... I suspected that the surveillance was probably Shepard or Jawbone, but I just wanted to check. Manny imagines all sorts of things when high on ayahuasca (last year, he said that men in gogs and Camcaps were trying to abduct his dog, Ringo, because "he knew too much").
I certainly didn't mean to imply that you were overly-promiscuous, oh bombastic Baba... my bad. Really, I meant to focus on the fact that the Reagans must be pretty abundant when you're a cult leader.
Which brings me to my next question: do you give lessons? I'd like to start my own cult, an offshoot of Offworld based on Cosmogaian worship of the 20th century rock n' roll idol and failed Anunnaki [he liked spare ribs, hot dogs, and barbiturates a bit too much] saviour, Elvis Presley. You may have heard of him.
Since I do a great Elvis impression, enjoy shooting television sets, and love eating fried peanut butter and banana sandwiches by the dozen, I thought that I could get an excellent tax write-off around this whole religion thing.
And yes, of course, blah blah blah I do believe in panspermic human genesis, too.
I have lots of Woz buried beneath a Pacifican bordello... let me know if you'd accept an apprentice.
As the stars will have it,

Hail, Baba Ed,
"I've got to get me a cult."
You seem to be doing so well over here at Andromeda Station, Baba Ed... you [and not Zon-5] are truly the Osho of the 21st century.
Bela Ray and I are greatly looking forward to Galactus... we're still a bit concerned about the surveillance that seems to be dogging our people. Is this from Kuiper John and your crew... or is it perhaps Billy Bob Shepard's people? (our drummer really likes the bots).
