The Art Institute & Gallery, located in downtown Salisbury, Maryland, is a registered 501(c)3 non-profit arts organization, funded in part by the Maryland State Arts Council, The Salisbury - Wicomico Arts Council, the City of Salisbury, and the Community Foundation of the Eastern Shore, as well as individual supportive memberships and donations.
Originally established in 1953 (as the Salisbury Art League), the mission of the AI&G is "to advance the visual arts in the mid-Delmarva region by offering exhibitions and art education to the general public."
After more than 50 years this unique art center continues to fulfill its mission by offering many events and services, a few of which include:

The AI&G facility offers a large classroom, a pottery studio, giftshop, offices and two well-lit galleries.
The gallery exhibitions are juried and are open to members and non-members.
We are located in the Downtown Plaza in Salisbury, Maryland. Our entrance in the Gallery Building is located on the parking lot side of the Plaza across from the Wicomico Library. We are four doors down from Channel 47.
Parking is conveniently located in the lot in front of our entrance; it is even free for the first hour.

I've been very busy with my camera. Wouldn't want to let AI&G down. I've found out that "kids" (ages early teens and older) love having their pictures taken. It has given me an idea of a whole series. More to come later.
