In an attempt to not talk about 'GoT,' I get pissed at 50 Cent and excited for Radiohead.

Every week I'll be here to reveal and review some of my favorite moments from the internet. Whether it be bingeing television shows, streaming sports, or simply getting lost in a YouTube rabbit hole, I'm here to give you my top picks every FridayThis week, I'm trying to avoid spilling Game of Thrones spoilers by devouring random YouTube videos.

50 Cent

Recommended Pairing:
Some popcorn and a bottle full of bub.

There's already more than enough weekly columns devoted entirely to the most brutal soap opera in the history of television, so I'm trying my best not to write about Game of Thrones every week. Even though last Sunday evening we finally got to watch (SPOILER ALERTS AHEAD) the world's most handsome bastard take a breath long after being stabbed to death by his brothers at the wall. No, I'm not going to write a new Game of Thrones piece this week just because Tyrion walked down to the dungeon in Meereen to free the two remaining dragons and rip the lid off the whole Tyrion is a Targaryen and one of the three heads of the dragon.

No I'm not going to just go on and on about Game of Thrones this week. Instead, I'm all psyched up to rant about something very close to my heart, modern etiquette.

This week Curtis James Jackson III, best known as the skinny guy from the Mario Van Peebles movie you never saw:

or perhaps the guy "in da club" encouraging you to party as if it were your birthday in the early 2000s:

or the guy who recently filed bankruptcy days after he was ordered by the court to pay $5 million to Lastonia Leviston, his rival Rick Ross' ex-girlfriend, who sued him for uploading a sex tape where he had digitally inserted himself as a commentator. No picture for that, sorry.

Two quick notes before I get into it:

One, I'm not a bully bully, someone who goes around shaming and hating all bullies. I don't condone bullying, I just think we've swung way too far to the other side, and come on, sometimes we need to tease each other. Two, I never really think about 50 Cent, hell, I barely thought about him when he got popular again years ago when he bought Vitamin Water or whatever

This week Curtis uploaded a video of him filming a young man at the airport just trying to do his job. Watch this:

I'm sure Curtis gets phones shoved in his face all the time, and it must be so frustrating to always have people anonymously filming you from their cameras wherever you go. I get that. And I hate it. I hate the smart phone culture, I really do. And that above video is a great example of why. When did it become okay to just film someone like this, talk a bunch of shit that could get you fired, then upload it for everyone to see? That's a scumbag move, Curtis.

Also consider this is a man who was shot NINE TIMES because he was dealing drugs when he was a kid on the streets. That's a bit hypocritical don't you think Mr. Jackson?

So that happened a few days ago and it got me all fired up because I hate how disconnected people have become to each other as we plug in online, then this happened. (Sorry about the local news report, but it's the most entertaining version.)

Yup, 50 Cent berated an autistic kid just trying to do his job as a janitor at a Cincinnati airport. Luckily early on Thursday it was reported that Curtis Jackson was going to apologize and donate $100,000 to Autism Speaks.

What a nice little bow to wrap that story up with, yeah? Everyone is happy.

Radiohead

Recommended Pairing:
Stuff to make s'mores and a lot of extra water.

On Sunday Radiohead deleted their entire web presence. Their website and all social media just vanished. Poof. Gone without a trace.

A few days later we get a few peeks leading up to a new song, "Burn the Witch." A song that as of this posting has been watched roughly 7.5 million times:

I'm reserving any judgement until I can walk around my neighborhood with headphones listening to a whole album on repeat. So instead of reviewing or critiquing the song I'd like to just point out that the video plays like the Wicker Man with just the tiniest taste of Hot Fuzz. You know, for the greater good.

I like the new video. It's not their best, but it's certainly not their worst (Remember the one where Thom is just dancing alone. Yikes).

"Burn the Witch" is a fun video to watch, even though I can't help but think how much better it could have been with some classic Nic Cage action. Here's a reminder of his genius:

My god, I could watch that bear punch a lady on a loop all day.

That's just good film making.

A few short days after we got the stop-motion video, Radiohead blew our minds once again by not only announcing a new album (that's yet-to-be-titled), but also letting us know we can purchase it digitally on Sunday (May 8). They also revealed another song called "Daydreaming." The video was directed by Paul Thomas Anderson (you know, the guy who directed some little films called Boogie Nights and There Will Be Blood, no big deal). And though this one does feature Thom Yorke, he's walking through doors that don't lead where you'd expect them to, and we'll take that over awkward dancing any day.

'Til next week. Keep your phones in your goddamn pockets.

Jaimie Rain Omg 50 cent that is sad... And yes I hate smartphone culture. People filming everything, In the past you could make a fool of yourself and people would soon forget. Now it's filmed and there forever, potentially ruining peoples lives in the process
