About Ark-La-Tex Music: July Spotlight Is Up!!!

Ark-La-Tex Music!

This page is dedicated to all of the local bands located in Arkansas, Louisiana & Texas. There are a lot of great bands out there that don't get the recognition and support that they deserve. Well, that is where Ark-La-Tex Music come in to play.

Here at Ark-La-Tex Music each month we plan on featuring one local band from the Ark-La-Tex. If you are in a band (or know of a band) located in either Arkansas, Louisiana or Texas and you would like for it to be featured please message us or e-mail us at ArkLaTexMusic@yahoo.com with the following information.....

1. The bands name and MySpace address and/or WebSite.
2. The names of all of the band member and what instruments they play.
3. A brief bio about the band and why you think that it should be featured.

All spotlighted artists chosen will receive the following...

1. A brief description about you and your music posted on our page in a blog with a link to your MySpace page and any other information that you would like listed.
2. You will be placed as the number one friend on our Top Friends.
3. One of your songs uploaded on our music player so that people who visits this page will be able to hear your music. You choose the song.

Congratulations to 'ABRUPT' for being Ark-La-Tex Music's spotlighted artist for July.

They are: Brandon Menard: Vocals / Guitar
Jeremy Foret: Lead Guitar
Cole LeBlanc: Rhythm Guitar
Josh Bourque: Bass
Eric Borne: Drums

ABRUPT is located in Lafayette, Louisiana. Their first compilation 'YOU'RE NOT ME' (an amateurly recorded, home-pressed CD) sold several hundred copies in a handful of local towns and cities and earned the band two radio interviews. They have recently finished recording their brand new album 'POINT TO PROVE' at Leap Studios. This album is available for download and online purchase.
