The Andrew Ogea Band was formed in 2006. Their first event was leading youth groups from around the nation in worship at Mission Lab in New Orleans, LA. Those involved in the band at the time were Andrew Ogea (Lead Vocals, Guitar), Adam Fontana (Drums), Mark Vinson (Bass), Brandon Bagby (Lead Guitar), and Travis Manint (Production Manager). During the fall they partnered with Ignite Mission (founded by Rob Wilton and Greg Wilton) to be the band for a young adult ministry in New Orleans called HIMnI. In September 2006, the band kicked off HIMnI, and in May held its 9th gathering to finish the Spring 2007 semester.
Since the beginning, there have been some changes in the band, with the addition of Edmund Kee playing the keys in October of 2006 being the first. In January of 2007, Brandon Bagby joined with Baton Rouge based Greg Talmage and they are currently in the studio recording their new album. In Bagby's absence, Mark Vinson moved from bass to lead guitar, and Brett Allen joined the band as the bass player. Evan Anderson (rhythm guitar), has been playing on and off with the band due to school, has come back to play for the summer.
The desire of the band is to spread the glory and love of Christ to those around the nation through their music and worship. We love you and hope to see you in the near future.
