Take 1 part Downtown LA, 1 part aggression, add a dab of recreational drug use and you get Alarma, a band from Los Angeles that plays rock and roll in the tradition of their Southern California predecessors. Take the aggression of Black Flag and NWA and add it to the drugged out, dreamy landscapes of the Doors, the Beach Boys, and the Brian Jonestown Massacre, and you get a band that really doesn't sound like those bands at all. Get the drift? ..
