ajapai a.k.a TOSHIHIKO MORI started working under the name of JAZZADELIC based in New York since 1991. He had released many 12inch vinyls of House, Break Beat on New Breed Records and more labels. Also he had another projects, LOOPTRICK (King Street Sounds 1st release), BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE (collaborated with PAL JOEY).in 1994, he had fully begun his perfomance in Japan after remix/producing PIZZCATO FIVE, CLEMENTENE and others. In that year, he got an offer from TOWA TEI (ex: Deee-Lite) and participated in the 1st album of TOWA TEI "Future Listening!", then put together a famous production unit "SP-1200 Productions". Around the same time, he also recieved a contact from RYUICHI SAKAMOTO and then he performed his world tour as keyboardist twice and joined productions a lot. In 1999, he released the 1st solo album "Planetary Folklore" as TOSHIHIKO MORI (feat. FACE, VIV, KEN NORDINE and more) from East West Japan/Germany/France. In 2000, he changed artist name to "ajapai" after break up the "SP-1200 Productions". In 2001, he brought out the 1st single "The Lover In You" (feat. KENNY BOBIEN) and the ist album "cheers!" (feat. DONNA GARDIER, MC KIE, DANIEL THOMAS, MC DT and more) from Pony Canyon. As a DJ performance, he resume to hit the ground running and been attracted clubs attention. In 2006, he released new single "Koe Wo Kasanete" and the 2nd album "unaffected" from Sony Music Associated Records after many producing and remix work. The year of 2007, he do remix/producing wide range of artist as well as his original sound source work.

''91年よりNewYorkを拠点とし、JAZZADELIC名義で活動開始。House、Break Beatsなど、革新的な枠に捕われない数々の12’ アナログをリリースし、PAL JOEYなどとのコラボレーション、 King Street Soundsの1stリリースを担い、多数のダンス・チャートで上位をマークする。’94年、ピチカート・ファイブ、クレモンティーヌなどのリミックス/プロデュースを手掛け日本での活動を本格的に開始。同年テイ・トウワ氏からコンタクトを受けGEISHA GIRLSに参加、同時期、坂本龍一氏からもコンタクトを受け、ワールド・ツアーへキーボーディストとして 2度に渡り参加し、同氏の作品にも多数参加。テイ・トウワ氏の 1stアルバム"Future Listening!"への参加を機に、 "SP-1200 Productions"を結成。数多くのプロダクション、リミックスワークを手掛ける。’99年、初のソロ・アルバム"Planetary Folklore"をToshihiko Mori名義においてeast west/akashic recordsよりリリース。国内のみならず、east west ドイツ/フランスよりもリリースされ、大きな話題を呼んだ。’00年"SP-1200Productions"解散、アーティスト名を"ajapai"とし、ポニーキャニオンと洋楽アーティストとして契約。’01年、1st Single"The Lover In You"、1st Album"cheers!"を発表。DJとしての活動も本格的に再開しフロアを震撼させる。m-flo、平井堅、Double、Exile等の多数のプロデュース、リミックスワークを経て、’06年フィーチャリング・ヴォーカルに三浦大知を迎えシングル「声をかさねて...」をリリース。その後、フルアルバム「unaffected」をリリース。’07年三浦大知 5thシングル「Flag」のプロデュースを手掛け、また、新木場 STUDIO COASTにて行われた「AP BANG! 東京環境会議Vol. 1」にキーボード/DJ、ALL NIGHT TIMEでもDJとしても出演するなど、幅広い活動を行っている。
