YVONNE AKEBA was born in London, Uk. Dubbed "The Dynamo of Creative Expression" by those who have seen her perform. Be warned, you will not leave one of her shows without feeling moved in some way. Her energy is infectious, her smile exudes Love... Writing Poetry and Songs seriously from the age of 12, these are just two aspects of her talent. With appearances as a dancer as p...art of the Caribbean Cultural Organisation on TV AM in her youth. Fashion Designer, Hairstylist. As an Artiste she does it all. Not one for labels, she simply states " I'm just being me, documenting my journey along the way, with the hope of connecting Soul to Soul. Music to me is like food, an integral part of life. I am an eclectic listener and appreciate music that tells you a story and evokes emotion. I write poems and songs whenever I'm inspired and life continuously inspires me."

Summer 2010 began with a collaboration with Kings Zai and a return to the stage for YVONNE AKEBA. With performances in The Gambia, West Africa.

Winter 2011 progressed with the release of her Debut single " He's a Man " on 30/10/11 and was celebrated with a performance at " Poetry in Motion, " in London UK.

A collaboration with Sparkling Black and more performances in The Gambia, West Africa followed, which included " The Ariwa Back to Africa Festival ", in January 2012.

2013 opened with a performance by Yvonne Akeba at SOUL CONNECTION in London Uk 10/02/13. Most of the year was spent in the recording studio, recording the tracks for the album, including collaborations with UK soul Singer No-el DaCosta and UK Rapper Capital B and backing vocals by Gospel Singer Yvonne Park.

The Official release of the album was in July 2014. Which continued with a performance at Open Minds 4, the release of the FLY album and launch party, and a performance in Poland.

2015 saw the beginning of the US tour, with a performance in Atlanta North and Costa Rica in Central America.

Now in 2016 American tour resumes, with stops in the South.
